Ronald Yoshimoto, M.Ed, M.S.W., is a Fellow of the Academy of Orton-Gillingham (OG) Practitioners and Educators and the Director of Orton Gillingham International. He has more than 30 years of experience in the fields of social work, education and dyslexia.  He has been a social worker, counselor, teacher, educational diagnostician, principal, consultant and teacher trainer. For 18 years, he also served as the principal of ASSETS School, a private school for students with dyslexia and gifted children. He is a former president of the Hawaii Branch of The International Dyslexia Association and former vice-president of the Academy of Orton-Gillingham Practitioners.

Yoshimoto has focused his expertise on developing the OG methodology for use in training public school teachers.  His exceptional training prepares teachers in the general and special education environments to become highly successful using OG, OG Advanced methodology, preschool literacy/numeracy, focused intervention, reading comprehension strategy (called “Connections”) and multisensory math.

Currently he is a consultant to the Hawaii Department of Education and Yoshimoto trains and consults in Hawaii, throughout the continental U.S  and in Singapore, Hong Kong, Malaysia, and Canada,. He is also the director of Orton Gillingham International and MSL/OG therapy centers in Singapore and Hong Kong.
