Volunteer to be a reading tutor

K-1 Foundations

The K-1 Foundations program is a modified Wilson-based intervention model laying a strong foundation for early reading. The program provides instruction in phonological and phonemic awareness, listening comprehension, and letter formation to kindergarten and first-grade students in order to prevent literacy struggles in later grades.  This fall we will serve 1st-grade students only. In the spring we will serve kindergarten and first-grade students.

I enjoyed tutoring my little student and of all that is going on in the world, that is one thing that I truly miss…seeing her smiling face and working with her each week.
